On June 24th we picked up our Escape trailer and the party began!
We are so blessed with great friends and family.
Two nights at Golden Ears Provincial Park with lower mainland family, 2 nights out at friends, 2 nights in Manitoba with all Albert’s family for a celebration of life, 1 night traveling, 4 nights at Rathtrevor Provincial Park with no less than 10 people each night, 2 nights at my parents, 4 nights at Upper Quinsam Lake Forestry Campsite with 6 to 10 close friends. No shortage of calories consumed!
Then back to the folks in Parksville and this morning we are on our way.
Some of our highlights so far as we get accustomed to trailer living.
Camping at Upper Quinsam Lake. The inflatable tandem kayak is fantastic and doubles as a canoe!! Dog is still unimpressed.
On the other side of the ridge is Buttle Lake. Some beautiful sub alpine flora. A black bear disappeared before I could snap a picture. Our truck tires did not like the spiky terrain and one was flat by the time we descended. So no more extreme roads until next year when we replace the tires!!!
Next stop… Whistler, BC
